Robin McLaurin Williams (* 21. Juli 1951 in Chicago, Illinois; † 11. August 2014 in Paradise Cay, Kalifornien) war ein US-amerikanischer Schauspieler und Komiker. Er wurde 1978 durch die Sitcom Mork vom Ork bekannt. Der Oscar- und fünfmalige Golden-Globe-Preisträger spielte sowohl tragikomische (Good Morning, Vietnam, Der Club der toten Dichter) als auch psychopathische Rollen (One Hour Photo, Insomnia – Schlaflos), wirkte aber auch in Familienfilmen (Flubber, Mrs. Doubtfire – Das stachelige Kindermädchen, Die Chaoscamper) mit.
